I just read online that Kansas City native Tomas Young died in his sleep last night.  A true hero in my book. Tomas, of course was the subject of the film "Body of War."  You can find numerous segments about Tomas at Democracynow.org.  
I first met Tomas at an anti-war rally in Kansas City in the fall of 2005. I arranged to go to his house and record an interview with him. I drove up there a day or two later and sat at his dining room table and listened to his story- his dog barking in the basement or another room in the background.. I remember some mention of Phil Donahue doing a movie about him - I can't remember if he said filming had started, or if it was all still in the planning stage at that point, but I got the idea not to talk about that yet.
