Hey Everyone,

As the world knows, here in Washington we have been the unfortunate site of
America's latest school shooting. But oddly this wasn't another case of a
mentally disturbed conservative gone off the deep end. This was a young kid
from the Tulalip Tribes targeting kids several of which were his own
cousins. Tulalip has had a total of five children that have died and one
thats had his life affected forever, an our tribal communities here in
Washington being extremely communal, a great many of us have hearts that are
extremely heavy heart during this difficult time, myself even having tribal
family connections to the shooter, and also some of the victims, its been a
difficult time here in Washington. But like native people often do the focus
has been healing for all of the families, and the community of Marysville as
a whole. So as the media trucks have packed up, and ultimately could care
less about people's suffering.  I wanted to share with everyone a good story
from the Indian Country Today, talking about the heavy loss, and the healing
process going forward with our local tribal people.
