Thanks everybody for your kind words and heartfealt love and prayers to the
victims and those affected. The funerals of five kids in 18 days is a huge
loss to any tribal community. Please know I'll be passing many of your
messages directly to some of  the people grieving. I was fortunate and only
had one direct family member in the building when the shooting happened,
but it was an incredibly difficult conversation with my little cousins
about some of the realities of gun violence, and helping them cope with the
deaths of kids that were their friends and our distant tribal cousins. But
it'll definitely be refreshing for people to hear the kind words of members
of the media who aren't the hungry media sharks circling the blood in the
water to make the absolute worst of a story. Who have been reluctant to
even mention the stories from a torn tribal community, who's focus is
healing, love, and forgiveness, rather then to go buy all the ammo and guns
at Wal-Mart like many would in America.
