Only when they're running for office do you have to "balance" the air-time. Nothing about "Once in office", unless, lol, they are too political in their own broadcast, when they've promised to play jazz.
Any and all yummehs should be humbly accepted, unless they are creating such a stock-pile the station looks like a food pantry.

At KBOO, the table out in front usually has a mountain of goodies -- some
unwanted sweet stuff -- a plate of vegan goodies -- cookies, loaves of bread you
name it.
Us humble volunteers partake freely and gratefully.
