Congratulations Marty and KZMU! The community radio scene is, thriving and flourishing even without CPB $$. The new funding innovations are bursting with opportunity and you are only limited by your imagination, so, in my opinion, your team will have few hurdles to jump, and certainly, while CPB has some "best practices" it isn't the "only" way to create a station's stability. Certainly, you may have to beef up your Finance Committee to include more independent development and fundraisers, who are successful at launching and running campaigns, finding, winning and administering grants and endowments and strong public outreach skills. KZMU is so lucky to have such a great leader!
