Hi Jim
I'm really interested in what's in use across the GRC stations. I've been
looking for the same thing too - an iTunes alternative with broadcast DJs
in mind.
I'm circling around a few options and hope that this thread will generate
some comments on them. On the surface, I'm looking for an uncluttered and
easy-to-teach interface, and behind the scenes I want a good database
function for the music and top-notch search-and-play functionality.

Tune Tracker Command Center

I like the playback interface, but I've been demoing the library search and
don't care much for that. Decent database, it seems. Requires an open
source operating system called Haiku, so you've got to set up a special
computer or buy one from them.
RadioLogik <http://macinmind.com/?area=app&app=radiologik&pg=info>
This is the one I'll demo next. It uses the iTunes database (and seems to
be built for Mac only).
SAM Broadcaster <http://spacial.com/sam-broadcaster>
This one has a lot of bells and whistles. They offer a version where your
music is on some sort of cloud--by subscription. I'm skeptical of that
flavor being of any use.
Free
RadioDJ <http://www.radiodj.ro/>
Runs a music database with MariaDB and MySQL, decent interface, the price
is right. I'm looking for a Widows computer to borrow so I can try it out.
AirTime <https://www.sourcefabric.org/en/airtime/>
This requires a Linux server, so would be a bit more of a chore to set up.
It also seems to be primarily an automation system, and doesn't pay much
attention to playback (they recommend mixxx <http://mixxx.org/> for that)
