 The GRC-2015 is soliciting proposals for presentations for thisyear's Conference, to be held September 24-27, 2015 at WLPP-LP inPalenville, NY. The Grassroots Radio Conference organizers are seekingpresentations on new ideas and practical solutions to the challengesfacing today’s community radio stations, be they full-power orLPFM.The presentations are designed to promote the development ofknowledgeable, skilled station representatives who will support theirlocal communities through developing relevant radio programs,community outreach, and engagement.Possible tracks include: Practical and hands-on technologies;Advanced broadcast technologies; Community Service; Management ofvolunteers; Leadership – keeping organizational teams engaged witheach other; Equipment readiness and infrastructure, etc.Presentations or tutorial topics are encouraged around this theme,especially those workshops that will provide innovative solutions forexisting and start-up challenges most stations face.Demonstrations are also encouraged.Proposals should include a brief abstract and outline of thepresentation, along with a short speaker bio, and are requestedbefore August 31st, 2015. Proposals should be sent via email togrc at wlppfm.org .. The Grassroots Radio Conference Content Committee will make thefinal program selection,notify presenters via e-mail and schedule theworkshops on the GRC-2015 Web site. Submissions received after August31st will be considered only if there is space available.Presentation Guidelines: The presentations should fit into a 75-90minute timeslot, including time for a question and answer session.Any special audio-visual or demonstration requirements should bespecified in the proposal. Final presentations will be published onthe on the GRC 2015 web site after the conference.The presentation material should preferably be in Libre officeusing any template desired, and any supplemental handout materialshould be in PDF format.
