[grc] Help me choose a recorder?

I've been absolutely satisfied with the Zoom H6. LOTS of flexibility. The
Preamps are even strong enough to drive an SM7B in the field with a
reasonable noise ratio. You should contact Zoom about the possibility of
repairing your H2 as well. They're a great company. You never know, they
might just repair it for you for the cost of shipping. Never hurts to ask!
