First of all, congrats on the CP.
When you reserve your call letters, I would hold off on doing anything
until you get the little brown post card in the mail and after the
effective date of the call letters.
Don't spend a dime until your call letters are effective. This process
normally takes one week.
When you say announcements, do you mean on air announcements (e.g. you
are already built)? If that is the case, do not go on the air until
your call letters are effective. Also, a station coming on the air less
than a week from CP grant raises the question of whether the station
engaged in premature construction (building before the CP was granted)..
Since you got your CP grant yesterday, I assume you got your letters
yesterday or today, so that means that your call letters will not go
into effect until February 2 or 3.
Hang in there... it's just a little while longer.
