The Cultural Rescue Foundation is a non - profit organization licensed by
the Ministry of Information of Colombia as a holder of license # 001729 of
August 29, 2008 for a community radio on the FM band, called Arenal Stereo
for the town of Arenal, Southern Bolivar State.

 The main difficulties come from the Mayor and his office because the
community through the Cultural Resource Foundation, not the municipal
government, has the license for the radio. For this reason the radio
station has been excluded, stigmatized and persecuted by the municipal
authorities. The members of the Foundation feel themselves at risk and fear
for their physical safety and believe they have no guarantees for the right
fo free speech.

 The radio has generated spaces for meetings and dialogue constructing a
society with social justice and inclusion to build a new Colombia
