Tends to marginalize and stigmatize content.
Most of the time at the stations I've worked at the last 30 plus years
not required. Sometimes there's been short-lived impositions of such
things then they fall by the wayside.
I liked the one where the host says "...does not necessarily reflect the
opinions of (station), (owner) or your Mom."
to which I would have added, "but we can always hope."
