Hey People Who Love Love Community Media (sorry for cross postings - many
of y'all are on the same lists),

Let's the ball rolling on planning a national LPFM Summit ​Wednesday, June
8th, at NFCB's 40th ​Annual Community Media Conference in Denver. I have
agreed to coordinate the summit and folks from Radio 4 People Coalition and
Prometheus have already stepped forward to pitch in.

Let’s make this an “of, by, and for” summit starting with a couple
conference calls to discuss what you want and what you’re game to give.

While we’re at it - whether you’re coming to Denver or not - let’s map
elements of a collective effort for LPFMs to get the support they need and
how they can support each other. What does that look like, what is needed,
who can do what, and what steps can come out of the summit to make it
happen? How can this dovetail with what will be happening at the Grassroots
Radio Conference (has that been decided on? Alabama?) and the Alliance for
Community Media Conference in August? All the things.

Some initial ideas I’ve heard:

- 1:1 free coaching/consulting time with experts
- Quick 3 minute talks on what you’re doing at your stations
- Time for you to get to know each other
- History of LPFM and what’s going on in community media nationally
