[grc] Audioport Discussion re KFCF etc

My apologies for my silence, I just came across this thread.

Yes, Audioport is a web site for connecting stations in the Pacifica
Affiliate Network. Any producer at an affiliated station should be able to
upload and download. Accounts are generally created locally by the program
director or station manager.

There are a large number of independent producers who also distribute shows
at Audioport.org. They upload shows but do not download shows. Jim, I am a
big admirer of your station and we would be thrilled to give you an account
for uploading shows to Audioport. Let me know if you want to do that. You
are right about downloading; non-affiliates do not have access to Audioport
(we do make Sprouts Radio From the Grassroots available to all stations in
and outside the network)  On the other hand, getting Pacifica affiliation
is easy and very affordable so the barriers are very low; we are doing what
we can to support and encourage community based grassroots production.

I will contact Dan Yaseen and see what he is interested in.
