the winner of the 2018 Katherine Davenport Award for Women's Radio News is
Diana Nekesa Wanyonyi of Mombasa, Kenya. This award is given in recognition
of her excellent news judgment, her broad understanding of women's issues,
and her prolific production work. During calendar year 2018, WINGS released
6 programs produced by Ms. Wanyonyi. The titles are: Kenyan Women's
Political Rights, TEKNOWGALZ in Kenya, Period Poverty, The Global Gag Rule,
AIDS in Africa Now, and 16 Days in Kenya [about the 16 Days against Gender
