[grc] Tech problems

I just uploaded a story to the NewsUp section of Audioport with the longish
title "US ally Rwanda closes 7000 churches as State Department vows to
fight religious persecution." Long title because people would probably
think I was unreasonably obsessed with the tiny East African nation of
Rwanda if I weren't always trying to explain the central role it plays in
US and Israeli foreign policy, and its current president's role in the
catastrophic violence of the last 24 years in East and Central Africa.

I can't remember recently struggling with 3-4 minutes of audio like I did
with this, and I'm looking for a little help from anyone who downloads it.
When I exported this, then reimported it into Audacity to rework it—many
times—I found that it imported at an extremely low volume that I would then
have to amplify. The amplification is no big deal, but I can't figure out
why it's been doing that. The board op for the KPFA newscast I work on has
had to amplify my files upon receipt several times. So, if anyone
downloads it and find that its barely there and needs amplification, could
you let me know? One thing I can't figure out is why this happens sometimes
and not others.

Thanks much for any help proffered.
