[grc] GRC 2018 Proposal Deadline

COUNTDOWN!

On behalf of the GRC 2018 planning folks I hereby to encourage you to
submit a proposal (or more than one) for a sesssion.

Ten short days until the deadline for submitting proposals for workshops
for the GRC October 5-7 in Portland. Some areas where we could use
proposals are:

  * What you can and cannot do re: businesses donating a percentage to a
    station
  * Whose voice can be used on an underwriting spot
  * Content creation
  * Beyond broadcast: Radio Rethink? Using a smartphone to podcast.
  * Volunteers
  * Training on-air hosts:who can be a host.
  * How FCC rules and policies affects your station: On-line public
    files; EAS; Quarterly Issues Report; EEO report filings by
    full-power stations; creation of Class C4 FM; Silent stations;
    Latest federal legislation that could affect your station
  * Social media for your station.
  * Music Licensing: fees, reports, what about time-share stations?
  * Listeners: identifying, reaching, Infinite Dial,
  * Emergency Preparedness
