[grc] Democrats escalate effort to extradite Assange

The ten Senators below signed a letter to Mike Pence—who is now in
Ecuador—demanding that he negotiate the expulsion of Julian Assange from
the Ecuadoran Embassy in London for extradition to the United States; they
didn't use those words precisely but that's a summary of what they're
asking for. This is a major assault on free speech and a violation of
international law.  The letter is full of Orwellian blather about free
speech, and it couldn't be more nauseating:
