I found some time on this unusual snowy day in North Coastal California to dig up some things from KMUD's GRC in 2010. What a great time I just had reminiscing!! A renewed thank-you to everyone who made the journey to be here! So many community radio treasures.... Anyone who would like to receive any of these materials, email me off-list. There is: -- a word doc listing all the workshops and other activities. -- two fat pdf files of the beautiful program booklet Ana Nogueira created -- but because it's a booklet, the order of things gets all cattywompus. -- I'll dig up our poster (logo). -- budget -- Registration Form -- probably there's a list of our subcommittees, and other stuff. Thanks again for putting things in one place. Jama Chaplin volunteer, KMUD, Garberville, CA PS I hope everyone involved in Public File uploading has recovered. And this seemed to be the year I could afford to. October 4 - 6. On the other hand, I love Portland and KBOO; my college roommate lives there and I was planning on attending GRC this year... Can't be in two places at once. I don't suppose there's any wiggle room in the scheduling of the conference for another weekend?? I know, let the hollaring begin: "why not ask THEM to move..." People are already booking travel and hotel rooms (especially considering that there is a marathon in Portland that same weekend so rooms may be at a premium if? you are too late).? There are change fees, non-refundable charges, etc. that people have invested on a conference which date has been announced for quite awhile now. Based on what I see about the Third Coast Conference, it is focused on program producers and journalists to cover the writing of stories where GRC is focused on the principals of full-service and low-power non-commercial broadcast stations to discuss the operation of the stations including technical, legal and fundraising topics.? I don't see much of an overlap potential between the two conferences. There's way too much work going on with this year's GRC to warrant a move of the dates.? Speaking as an individual (and not representing the other GRCA participants nor the GRC 2018 host committee), I would staunchly oppose any attempt to change the GRC conference dates. It has an analog tuner-style user interface, though. If you give it location access, it will use a database to match local AM and FM frequencies to the corresponding online streams. If it can?t find a stream associated with the frequency, it will pick a station to play by means unclear to me. You can switch your location to elsewhere, allowing you to virtually scan the dial in other parts of world. And you can also search for streams. Other than the radio dial interface, it?s pretty similar to any other app that accesses internet radio streams. > On Mar 31, 2018, at 12:15 AM, Brian Shiratsuki via grc wrote: > > > > RadioApp Pro, if you visit the URI from an iOS device. unfortunately, > i personally am away from my iOS devices until next week. > > > _______________________________________________ > grc mailing list > grc at maillist.peak.org > http://maillist.peak.org/mailman/listinfo/grc
