I just uploaded this story to Audioport and I'd like to encourage anyone
with the air time to play it:

Assange supporters including myself fear that he's running out of time, and
US intel agencies are so determined to get him that it's hard to imagine
how any lobbying or protesting can stop them. If I understand, he lost his
last legal effort, which was to get Ecuador to restore his human rights as
an Ecuadorian citizen. One thing we can do is continue to report his story
in hopes of making it difficult for US Intel to extradite him and then
shepherd him into an "in camera" trial—with no public observers—before
locking him up for life.
I use a lot of Wikileaks publications in my writing, and I can't begin to
tell you how valuable and unprecedented it is. Many other scholars and
journalists report, as I do, that they've often suspected something was
true and then learned from Wikileaks that it's even worse than they
thought, but it can at least be documented.
