It is a huge blow to the community that depended on KHSU as their public/community radio station. KMUD local news did an excellent story on its newscast Thursday, April 11 at 6pm. http://archive.kmudfm.org/archive/index.php There are many mourning the loss of KHSU. behr KMUD > On Apr 14, 2019, at 11:31 AM, John Bruce wrote: > > It's a lot of work to keep these stations sustainable, so many aspects and details it's mind boggling. > These entities are rare enough that it's really important to help keep them together any way we can. > > John Bruce Mana'o Radio Maui. > > On Sun, Apr 14, 2019 at 6:55 AM Simon Frech > wrote: > Thanks for posting this, Ernesto. > > There?s so much more to this story. KHSU is apparently broadcasting a plain NPR / PRI stream, which during Weekend Edition Saturday sounded pretty choppy. All Things Considered Saturday (usually 5-6pm) was repeated at 6. Usually at 6pm Saturday there?s a great music show, but no more. No local breaks whatsoever, no underwriting announcements, no weather update, no promos apart from those included in the NPR shows.
