Friends in New York area, please come hear the panel I am to moderate for
the International Association of Women in Radio and TV Tomorrow (March 14),
at 12:30 pm.  Location: Salvation Army auditorium, 226 East 52nd Street
(between 2nd and 3rd avenues) in Manhattan.  The topic is Community Media
Models for dealing with disasters.
Featured presenter: Jola Diones-Mamangun, explaining a recent project
supported by IAWRT in the Philippines, using low-power radio transmission
for community consultation.
Also featured: Peggy Berryhill (via video), founder of the Native American
Media Resource Center and its community radio station KGUA-FM in
California; Olivia Tumanjong, media presenter from Cameroon; Beatrice
Chelangat from Sabiny FM radio in Uganda; Susan Raybuck from KWVH-LP jn
Wimberley, Texas; Dr. Sandra Wint, technology policy specialist (by video
from the UK).
The panel will also be streamed live on Facebook via the group
International Association of Women in Radio and Television - IAWRT.  It
should be archived there for a day or two.
