[grc] Audacity with Mac Mojave - solution?

I downloaded version 2.3.3 which is 64-bit and said to work with Mojave.
Fortunately, I have not permitted an update from Mojave to Catalina, which
I am told does not accept Audacity yet.  I can use it the Audacity now, but
just barely, because I am having the same problem I had with the earlier
version on this machine - that is, all the little panes that have functions
like undo/redo, fit file to screen, change speed, etc. - all bunch up
together in the middle of my screen.  If I click the edge of one, it comes
to the top of the pile, but they cannot be dragged anywhere (such as into
their normal locations along the top of the Audacity operating window- or
even to the side or top of the screen). If there is a trick to dragging
them into place I haven't found it yet.  To edit, I am having to drag the
Audacity operating window, partially-opened, to the lower half of the
screen.  Any ideas?
