[grc] Audacity 64-bit

So Audacity now has a version that will run on 64-bit Mac.  I have
installed it and managed to figure out how to get the function tabs out of
the middle of the page and in place somewhere or other each.  Now I am
having a problem with the label track - on the old version, you just placed
your cursor where you wanted it and started typing.  With this version,
there seems to be some arcane multi-step process to get to type on the
label track, and whatever I did for the first label doesn't seem to work
when I try to type the second one on the same track. Tried searching the
Help and found nothing pertinent yet.  Anybody know what to do?  I'd love
to be able to restore the simple method, as I do a lot of labelling on the
fly.
