Unfortunately, if her nomination tanks, it would be hard to find a 
replacement who would be as supportive of community media.

 From the Politico article Mike cited, some large industry interests are 
backing the attacks on her through progressive-seeming fronts.

What the opponents want is mild Commissioners who won't rock any boats, 
won't "like" tweets expressing anger at police, for example; who hail 
from the same law firms they know and love - and who aren't anything 
like "consumer advocates".

Then when their FCC tour ends, we will expect them to forget about the 
public interest and head quickly for the revolving door, lobbying for 
the same corporations they formerly regulated.

It is a brave President who would nominate someone who is not that kind 
of business as usual.
