Subject: [NFCB List] This Friday - Public Radio Together for Peace

This Friday (3/11) at 10:30a PT/11:30a MT/12:30p CT/1:30p ET., public radio stations across the country will air John Lennon’s “Give Peace A Chance”.

Public radio member organizations Public Radio Program Directors (PRPD) <https://prpd.org/> , National Federation of Community Broadcasters (NFCB) <https://nfcb.org/> , and VuHaus Group <https://www.vuhausgroup.org/> are encouraging all member radio stations to air the song at that time.

Sally Kane, CEO of NFCB, added, "Right up there with food, clothing, and shelter - human connection is something we can't live without. Radio has always amplified connection, and at this moment in time, we can take action for the people of Ukraine and reinforce the connection we share as human beings. It's the only power we have that can outlast the kind of depravity that has been unleashed. To do nothing in the face of this transgression is to be complicit in its devastation. This is why we take to the airwaves; it's our sacred duty."

If your station would like to participate, all assets can be downloaded from the Paragon website at http://www.paragonmediastrategies.com/. This includes the :15 second recorded promo and copy to air in advance, a recorded introduction paired with the song audio that will time out at exactly 5 minutes, intro copy and the song audio file for stations that wish to produce or read their own introduction, a graphic image, and a social media playbook for stations to pre-promote the event off-air. We hope that your stations will participate.

I've attached the official press release below.
