IF YOU WISH TO MAKE UPDATES to your listing, please complete the form again and we will use the most current entry. Please feel free to share this ENTRY FORM with any stations that may not yet be listed. No one will be able to access the online doc until they submit their information. Thanks for participating! In Solidarity, Sharon P.S. This directory is for LPFM Stations only! ... There is a Grassroots Radio Directory for all other stations and interested parties that I can distribute next week. First, we must have a 2023 GRC. It should be somewhere. Anywhere is better than nowhere. Somewhere that would have the least impact to travel ...... Maybe we need more than one. Considering that it has been so long since the last one, it's time to come back with a boom, not a flicker. Let's have 5 regionals in 2013. A regional conference can be, and probably should be, smaller than a national conference. It could even be one day, with one thread. Anything goes. It could be tied to some project or event. A "barn-raising". This doesn't have to be a new station. It could be an old station building a new studio, or something like that. It could focus on a particular topic. One regional conference could be all news. Another could be all legal matters. Yet another could be all tech. Anything goes. Use your imagination. Perhaps the best part of this scheme is that you don't need anyone's permission to do it. You don't need to work with people you don't like. There is no committee, no application, no rules, no steering committee. You can do it the way you want to do it. Also, if you are thinking politics (ours, not the national politics). You don't want to step on anyone's toes. Think again. "Just do it" goes back to the roots of GRC. This is what the "founders" of the conference would want. This is what the "founders" of the conference actually did. If you want to do it, to take this approach, don't tell me. I have no authority in this matter. Tell the world. I will see it at the same time as everyone else. Whatever way it goes, let's not repeat the total disaster of a conference that happened in 2022. Right now, we have no engagement with our listeners other than being on the air. I signed up for a free account for MailChimp since there's nothing else in place. At the very least, it will determine if we have listeners who want to hear from us and provide us feedback, etc. I'm not sure what we'll be able to do if we outgrow the free account quickly, since I don't have any budget. But I want to do this to develop our listenership because we will need to fundraise very soon and no fundraising has been done for many many years. I've been revisiting resources on the Prometheus site, even though we're not LPFM, many of those resources can be used for us NCE stations. I wanted to reach out to you Here are my questions: -What have you all used for your listener outreach? -Have you done a survey of your listeners and if so, would you be willing to share it with me? -Does anyone have a basic station budget they'd be willing to share as well? I have some of my resources from my previous station, but that was a unique situation. We're in a department of the university, but I want to map out some suggestions to reinvent the station a little bit. Thanks for any advice & additional resources you might be able to offer!
