[grc] Local Data in Daily Broadcast Actions & Applications

As operators of an LPFM radio station in a major metro area, we have
been told that we need to stay informed about changes to FM stations in
the local area that could affect us. It is easy enough to look through
the daily digest from the FCC, but scanning through the lists of
broadcast applications and actions each day from the Media Bureau gets
very tedious.
I have been told by the FCC that all of the data that goes into their
daily applications and actions report can be downloaded from the CDBS
database, but it includes huge amounts of old data, the FCC will not
disclose the program they use to produce the daily reports, and it looks
like it would take quite a bit of reverse engineering to figure out how
they produce those reports.
Does anyone out there know of an easy and inexpensive way to extract
information on updates for the local area (i.e., those in a particular
state) from the CDBS or the daily reports from the Media Bureau?
Thanks for any help or suggestions,
Lloyd
