Nisaa Network – Connect, Inspire & Empower Women Across the Arab World

Nisaa Network is scaling up from Radio Nisaa FM, the first women commercial
radio station in Ramallah Palestine, The NN project came in partnership and
creation of Womanity Foundation; a philanthropic foundation dedicated to
women's empowerment based in Switzerland.

Nisaa Network will collaborate with different like-minded media outlets,
and other organization that advocate for women’s rights to launch “*Nisaa
Regional Network*”, a unique outstanding a multimedia platform which will
be producing, sharing and broadcasting contents that address both women and
men.

Nisaa Network is building an active partnership with 10 like-minded media
outlets and other media outlets in the region and women organizations and
individuals working to benefit women in the Arab world across the
Middle-East and North Africa and contribute to women’s empowerment; as well
as cultivate best professional practices together, conduct trainings, offer
mentorships and coaching opportunities to foster the careers of female
media professionals at all levels of the industry.

Nisaa Network is using a variety of multimedia contents (in Arabic and
English) produced by Nisaa and network members in the form of online audio
and video streaming and broadcasting; blogs and opinion pieces; animation
and edutainment productions; infographics; research studies and
publications; investigations; etc. It will promote its contents beyond the
multimedia platform and interact with its audience through social media,
mobile apps, etc. Hence Nisaa Network will act as an innovative virtual
communitarian hub for organizations working for women’s empowerment and
help them to join forces.

Through its multimedia platform, Nisaa Network aims to give a voice to
women across the Middle-East and North Africa (and indirectly within the
Arabic diaspora); contribute to a positive and inclusive dialogue on gender
equality and women’s role in media and in the society; and overcome the
segregation of women to the private sphere.

*Specifically, its contents and activities will seek to:*

• Reinforce the active social, economic and political participation and
leadership of women  across the Middle-East and North Africa.

• Discuss women’s social and professional aspirations, their limitations
and obstacles, as well as their successes.

• Contribute to eliminate discriminatory and oppressing stereotypes against
women.

• Document both male and female perspectives that contribute to improve the
lives of women and achieve gender equality.

• Highlight success stories of female innovators, educators, activists, and
homemakers from villages, cities, and marginalized communities to serve as
inspirational role models for other women.

• Enhance the role and careers of female professionals in media.
