Confirming that KVOY is now KWPV.  It has been sold to The Chickasaw
Nation.

This is good news.  They have been working at this for a while, and I
was worried that it might not go through and be lost completely.

To say "lack of funding" would be an oversimplification.  This is a
full power intended to be a rim-shot.  Mary Francis and her group are
based in Norman, and the station doesn't reach Norman.  In spite of big
effort, they never really connected with the community people in
Wynnewood and Pauls Valley where the station actually covers.  Mary
Francis kept it going for a few years, essentially by herself.

Sadly, it seems that very few of the new community stations from the
2007 and 2010 windows got licensed and are doing well.  There are a few
success stories, but mostly it was a blood bath.
