Amadeus Lite and Amadeus Pro are excellent audio editors for the Mac OS.

The latest Amadeus versions are Big Sur and Apple Silicon compatible.

The new Audacity has a distressing flaw, at least on Windows. I and others have found that it has problems editing files on Network Attached Storage (NAS). Attempts to edit and save can hard crash the PC. Previous versions did not have this issue, which may be related to the changed audio database in the new version.
