Spencer,

Radio ratings company Arbitron was acquired by Nielsen in 2012 becoming
Nielsen Audio
(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nielsen_Audio).

Nielsen Audio's website is (
https://global.nielsen.com/solutions/audience-measurement/audio/)

Radio Research Consortium (https://rrconline.org/)
>From their website: "Radio Research Consortium, Inc. is an independent,
not-for-profit research firm that contracts with Nielsen, Inc. to produce
local market audience estimates for non-commercial radio stations. RRC
serves station managers, programmers, marketing and development
professionals. Founded in 1981 by Tom Church as a 14-member alliance, RRC
now has several hundred non-commercial subscribers."

The last time WORT used RRC was in 2011.

You need to understand that the main use for radio ratings is for
commercial radio stations to determine their market rating to calculate
their advertising value. Commercial stations have paid staff, and so have
the same shows at the same time five days a week. Commercial stations also
have a single genre.

Community stations often have volunteer staff, so each day of the week can
have different programs, genres and different hosts.

Nathan Moore of WTJU knows a lot about using Nielsen Audio with
non-commercial radio. (Nathan spent some time in the past at WORT).
