This includes one of the myths I will be talking about tomorrow. If your station was not MX during the application process, you have no local program requirement. only certain mx stations are subject to the pledge.
See recnet.com/pledges to see stations required to air local programs.

Subject: [grc] Newbie questions...
Sisters and Brothers of Low-Power FM:
Newbie here. Our LPFM (KLLG) just put up its tower-antenna. We have almost all the gear we need to test and tune our signal. Couple of questions:
1) During our test phase, can we use voice or must we only use a generated tone?
2) Once we send in the 319 and receive our license, is there a minimum number of hours that we must have locally produced content or can we put our signal on the air 24/7 with mostly music? And then slip in our own programming as we develop it?
We’d love to find a “packet” produced by someone that would have most of the procedures, protocols, and logs listed that a brand new station must deal with….
We’re located in the heart of the redwoods in Mendocino county. We’d love to meet any LPFM maven that comes through….
