Hi Ann,
You might be forgetting that streaming often uses up a lot of data for
people on mobile devices.
It also eats up a lot of battery life compared to a radio broadcast.
Also, some stations, e.g. LPFMs, may not be streaming all or any of their
audio.
And it might allow for metadata to be more easily included, so that shows,
hosts, artists and songs are identified and displayed on the screen.
Those are just a couple of reasons that I can think of.
